After the abrupt exit of WGCI’s Loni Swain for what was reportedly to be a “cost cutting” measure in May 2015, she is back with a bigger and potentially better position. Sometimes when one door closes we just have to trust that another one will open. Swain will now be heard nation wide in syndication on “The Afternoon Rush” with Rudy Rush who replaced the late Doug Banks and also new to to the team Ebony Steele formerly of the Rickey Smiley Show will replace The Doug Banks Show’s Dee Dee Renee.
Loni Swain who has been quite busy since she came to Chicago back in 2009 from her working at iHeart Media to hosting a radio show on SiriusXM to owning a candy company. This woman was definitely not bored by any stretch of the word. Her addition to the Afternoon Rush is surely to be a great collaboration with Rudy and Ebony. Unfortunately the radio show will not be heard on iHeart Media’s Chicago Market in favor of supporting Chicago’s Own Joe Soto who replaced The Doug Bank Show during the afternoon time slot on WVAZ.
EarHustle411 wishes Loni Swain all the best on her latest assignment. Keep doing what you do!!
