Spirit Airlines, A Florida-based discount carrier, abruptly canceled over 260 flights on Monday on top of the 165 they canceled on Sunday; leaving some very angry customers stranded.

There were hundreds of passengers lost and confused while waiting for refunds.  It became so overwhelming that some passengers camped out overnight at the airport. The customers claim they are not getting any help from Spirit Staff who seems very confused themselves.

Erik Hofmeyer, the spokesman for Spirit Airlines says,” We’re working around the clock to get back on track in the wake of some travel disruptions over the weekend due to  a series of weather and operational challenges” that he sent via email.”We needed to make proactive cancellations to some fights across the network, but the majority of flights are still scheduled as planned.”
