Actress-singer Jennifer Hudson now has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Hudson was on hand Wednesday for the unveiling of her star in front of the W Hollywood Hotel.
An emotional Hudson said she never would have dreamed she would be honored this way.
The Grammy and Oscar winner was first noticed participating on the third season of the Fox reality show “American Idol,” where she finished seventh. She made her film debut in 2006’s “Dreamgirls” and won an Academy Award for her role as Effie White. Hudson won the best rhythm and blues album Grammy in 2009 for her self-titled debut album.
