Charity Forever Hope Agency and Growing Green Neighborhoods in conjunction with it’s sponsors and partners Walgreens, Ariel Investments, Sweetwater, SAE Chicago, Pepper Snapple Group, Near Westside Properties, S&S Records, Chicago Park District, Greater Chicago Food Depository, Loretta Hospital, Petes Produce, Our Pink Heats, JC Phone Repair, Ready Refunds, Cermak Produce, Metropolitan Chicago Breast Cancer Task Force Greek Island, Perl Mortgage Earhustle 411, Howard Orloff Imports, Smile Bright, Harmony Healthcare and Inkstars Creative Group is hosting its annual charity Back To School Block Party on Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 12pm until 6pm at the 2100 block of West Adams.
The non-profit organization will host its back-to-school celebration for children in the West Haven Community and throughout Chicago. Festivities will include a free book bag and school supply giveaway, basketball shootout hosted by CVS High School, hula hoop contest, live musical performances by Lyr!c, WeeGone Records, T Star, Jameisha Trice and So Cold, the Jessie White Tumblers, and a house music DJ set performed by 5-time Grammy nominee Steve Silk Hurley, DJ Johnny Bravo, DJ Threejay and International music artist DJ Skip. There will also be several health care organizations offering health screenings and giving information to the community about a plethora of health issues and healthy lifestyles.
This year 700 or more children and families are expected to attend. Forever Hope Agency is still accepting donations, if you would like to donate to this cause please email info@foreverhopeagency.org. If you know someone whose child is in need of a book bag, please invite them to attend.

OUR COMMUNITY
In the West Haven community, with the help of our sponsors, last year we provided school supplies, over 300 book bags, health screenings, food, and entertainment. We will continue providing these services annually.
YOUTH SERVICES
Our work with at risk youth is one of the driving forces of our agency and we will focus on programs that will fosters self-confidence, leadership skills, and positive decision making through mentorship, music, art, culture, literature, and sports.
Our STEAM CAMP STEM Music and Art Program is set to launch this Spring/Summer 2017 and will impact at risk youth ages 8-18.
