Society has always had such a negative image of black men which has spewed that ugly hate for hundreds of years towards them; when in fact, if given the right opportunities, black men are great leaders, rulers and kings.
Opportunity or not, these black men at LRS plumbing decided to create their own opportunity; they have been able to secure permits for major construction and plumbing jobs which isn’t sitting well with their Caucasian counterparts.
These men are self- sufficient, independent and make their own way. They are an inspiration to many because they not only build their communities, they also mentor other young black males and minorities wanting to follow in their footsteps.
LRS Plumbing is a black owned and operated plumbing company based in The City of Los Angeles, located at 4807 W Adams Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90016.
The owner Leonard Redway, a fourth generation plumber established LRS Plumbing in 1997 shortly after he graduated from Dorsey High School in Los Angeles. Redway and everyone that works on the plumbing team are licensed, trained, Bonded, Insured and professional. So you ask, you say that to say what?
Being licensed, Insured, Bonded, Insured and experienced don’t seem to matter when the hue of your skin is not transparent. It shouldn’t be such a conundrum when just trying to do your work. Redway and his team are constantly being harassed having to stop working to prove themselves to be a legitimate company by constantly having to provide evidence of their license and other credentials.
Owen Radway is quoted as saying, “Some things never change. Brothers can’t catch a break. We could be robbing an stealing gang banging an murdering. Instead we working hard. Except we working doing a job that most Brothers not equipped to do. So we must be doing something wrong.”
Hopefully one day, the madness will stop and they can peacefully handle their business without being interrupted, discriminated against or discredited. Ear Hustle 411 stands behind LRS Plumbing!!!
