EarHustle411 has learned that another woman has come out and alleged sexual impropriety at the hands of Russell Simmons. First there was model Keri Claussen Khalighi and now Jenny Lumet (daughter of film director Sidney Lumet).
Lumet apparently recalled her encounter with Simmons in a penned letter to The Hollywood Reporter detailing what occurred during her experience with Simmons (click here to read Lumet’s letter)
Russell Simmons who was the founder and CEO of the famed record label Def Jam and hip hop fashion line Phat Farm as well as many other ventures to include film and television. He’s also been honored with numerous awards for his philanthropic endeavors.
These allegations against Russell Simmons to which he responded previous to regarding Khalighi has put him in an unsavory position. It’s because of the allegations that Russell Simmons has made the decision to step down from any businesses he is involved in once Lumet’s letter became public.
Simmons made a comment in regards to the letter stating:
“While I have never been violent, I have been thoughtless and insensitive in some of my relationships over many decades and I sincerely and humbly apologize.”
The mogul is definitely up against some serious allegations.
Russell commented on what the future of his businesses will look like:
“The companies will now be run by a new and diverse generation of extraordinary executives who are moving the culture and consciousness forward,” said Simmons, adding, “As for me, I will step aside and commit myself to continuing my personal growth, spiritual learning, and, above all, to listening.”
