EarHustle411 has learned that Legendary radio personality Wali Muhammad has died. Communication from Wali’s daughter was provided to iHeart Media’s Chicago radio station V103. Wali suffered from a brain injury resulting in a coma that he was never able to recover from.
Wali often used his profession to speak on the injustices of the community. According to Wali’s page on Voiceover Universe he had been doing voiceovers and radio announcing since 1974, where some of his clients included McDonald’s, Burger King, Chevrolet and Columbia Records.
The Radio Community has lost a true professional and a voice for the voiceless.
Mr. Muhammad’s homegoing services are in the planning stages and may possibly take place on Monday, July 20, 2015.
EarHustle411 sends our deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Wali Muhammad and the V103 Family.
