has cancelled her entire “Great Escape Tour,” it was announced on Friday. In a released statement, it said: “The Iggy Azalea Great Escape Tour scheduled for this fall has been cancelled and refunds are available at point of purchase. There will be a new tour planned around Iggy’s new record to be released in 2016 and we apologize for any inconvenience.”
As Gossip Cop previously reported, Azalea’s tour had been plagued from early on and was initially postponed because she said she was a “psychopath” and didn’t feel the stage and production was near the way she wanted it to be.” In March, she explained that doing the show without the proper staging would have involved “making a lot of sacrifices and cuts and changes… I really considered what I do I want to do — keep and honor these dates for my fans, but [not have] the show that I envisioned… Or do I want to move it and have the absolute best show, and obviously I’ve chose to move it.”
Azalea noted back then that she wanted her fans to have the best experience during her first arena tour. She said, “I don’t want to have an average tour with a normal stage and this kind of thing,” adding, “I want people to come and really feel they got their money’s worth.” Apparently, even postponing the dates wasn’t enough, and so Azalea has now officially cancelled her “Great Escape Tour.” What do you think about Iggy Azalea scrapping her entire tour?
