According to WSVN, Lake Mary police officials said they received a 911 call Tuesday from a man claiming Zimmerman threatened to kill him during a road rage altercation.
Authorities said they received a second 911 call from the same man on Wednesday, saying George Zimmerman was waiting for him outside his place of work and that he feared for his personal safety.
The unnamed man does not want to file charges, so Zimmerman will not be arrested.Police say they’ve spoken to Zimmerman, who admitted to exchanging words with the man Tuesday.
George Zimmerman first made headlines in 2012 for the shootingdeath of unarmed black Florida teen Trayvon Martin.
He was acquitted by a jury of all charges at the conclusion of the Martin murder trial.
Since the trial, Zimmerman was accused by estranged wife Shellie Zimmerman of threatening to kill her and her father, but she never filed charges.
He was also arrested and accused of domestic violence by his then-girlfriend, Samantha Scheibe, but she ultimately dropped all charges
In this latest case, police said, the man Zimmerman allegedly threatened also does not want to press charges, so Zimmerman has not been arrested.
We’re still working this story, waiting on those 911 calls, and we’ll have more later today. Stay tuned to WSVN 7 News and wsvn.com for updates.
