Derek Fisher is out of the triangle … in his personal life.
Fisher, the former Knicks coach who is happily dating reality star Gloria Govan, officially finalized his divorce Tuesday from his wife of 11 years, Candace.
According to TMZ, under the terms of the divorce settlement, Fisher will pay $1.3 million annually in spousal support and $180,000 annually in child support. TMZ, citing court documents, also notes the couple agreed to destroy embryos they had frozen during their marriage.
Candace Fisher avowed in court documents last year she was “blindsided” when the longtime Lakers guard served her with divorce papers, and alleged he moved his belongings out of their West Coast home in the middle of the night. They have four children together.
The Fishers’ private lives became prime tabloid fodder when Fisher and Govan were involved in an infamous altercation last October with Govan’s former partner, Matt Barnes, at her California home, while Fisher was still legally married and about to embark on another disastrous Knicks season.
