Chicago News: 1 Dead, 2 Hurt In Rollover Crash On Lake Shore Drive

CHICAGO (STMW) – One person was killed and two people were injured in a rollover crash Friday morning on Lake Shore Drive, police said.

Rescue crews responded to the crash about 5 a.m. near 5000 North Lake Shore Drive, Fire Media Affairs spokesman Will Knight said.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, said police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada

Two people, whose ages and genders were not immediately known, were taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Estrada said. Their conditions were not immediately known.

According to unconfirmed dispatch reports, northbound lanes of Lake Shore Drive were closed to traffic at Wilson Avenue as of 6 a.m. while police investigated.
