A mother is taking action to try and track down her son’s killer. Six months after his murder, Antonio Alves’ mother has put up a billboard to bring light to the investigation. Rekeia Williams says she used money from her savings to pay for this 10-foot billboard in the 300-block of South Pulaski.
Antonio was 18 years old when he was shot and killed last August. Williams doesn’t think police have done enough work, and hopes this brings more attention to the case. Chicago police will only say that it’s an open investigation, and no arrests have been made.
