Stanley Wrice was in prison for over 30 years for a rape he didnt commit. He states that he was beaten by Chicago police until he confessed of the crime. Wrice was originally sentence to 100 years in prison for the 1982 rape.
Back in 1982, there was no DNA testing and Wrice always claimed his innocence. He keep appealing his case which ended up in front of Illinois Supreme Court . Wrice was able to be free due scandal involving his arresting officers who was under the command of Lt. Jon Burge.
Wrice was released yesterday and today in court the judge ruled that all charges against him will be dropped. Stanley Wrice can not retried for the rape charges.
