Breaking news in the music industry as EarHustle411 is saddened to report one of the most amazing voices has been silenced. The “Queen of Soul” Aretha Franklin has made her transition to the grandest stage of them all.
According to reports Aretha Franklin succumbed to pancreatic cancer. The singer had been fighting the disease for quite sometime even amid reports that her health was fine. The last few weeks news had been reported the famed singer had been placed in hospice. Although reports of her declining health predicted death as imminent we all know God has the absolute last word.
Aretha’s rise to fame and musical history is a story for the record books. Having been initially a gospel singer at New Bethel Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan under the leadership of her father C.L. Franklin, her voice was so angelic, boisterous and soul-stirring being parishioners to their knees.
At the age of 18, Aretha Franklin embarked on her musical career as a secular artist and the works of her voice are the results of what we have as part of her musical history. Franklin’s signature song to date is reportedly said to be the infamous “Respect”.
Aretha has had much success with other hits like Freeway Of Love, Think, A Rose Is Still A Rose, Jumpin’ Jack Flash, Giving Him Something He Can Feel, Rock Steady and many, many more.
With well I’ve 60 plus years in the music industry EarHustle411 and the many fans of Aretha Franklin can all agree there will never be another voice like hers and the music industry will never be the same.
EarHustle411 and the writing staff sends our sincerest condolences to the family, friends and fans of the incomparable “Queen of Soul” Aretha Franklin. May the comfort of God’s presence be with everyone during this time of bereavement.
