I am starting a 90 day journey into losing weight and changing my eating habits. In order to make change you have to realize what you are changing and how it can impact you. My goal is yes to lose weight but I also want to build a better me. During these 90 days I want to learn my eating triggers, habits and how to eat to live and not live to eat.
My name is Joanne M Miller and I have always had issues with my weight. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2005. I refused to change my eating habits and eventually it let to me being on insulin and diagnosed with high blood pressure.
It took me to leave Chicago in 2011 to change my eating habits and start working out. I didn’t know many people where I moved and didn’t like the food. I started cooking more and once i made those changes I lost 20 pounds and been keeping it off.
My dilemma now is that I moved back to Chicago and all my old eating habits are popping back up. Over the weekend, I shopped for healthier food and in the process of meal planning (pictures will be in future post).
I currently use the fitness app My Fitness Pal (find me ThickNuLuvit) to help me track my calories and workouts. Today is my first day getting back on track and I’ve made some positive steps and had a few set backs.
My positive steps is that i made it to the gym which is key for healthier living. My set backs is that i forgot that working out makes me hungry and I ate a few things that I shouldn’t have. I will be embracing my good and not so good days and moments.
