Young Woman Stabbed To Death On Chicago’s CTA Red Line

According to FOX32,  A woman was stabbed to death on a Red Line train Thursday afternoon in the South Side Grand Boulevard neighborhood.

The victim, in her late teens or early 20s, was stabbed in the neck on a southbound train in the 200 block of West 47th Street at 12:33 p.m., according to Chicago Police. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A person of interest is in custody, and CPD spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said the stabbing was domestic-related.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office confirmed the fatality but could not immediately provide further details.

Red Line trains were resuming normal service as of 2:22 p.m., but trains are not stopping at the 47th Street station, according to the CTA. Passengers should expect residual delays.
