Just when you think the goodness has left the City of Chicago, something awesome happens to out the faith back into minds of the citizens.  On Friday, May 22, 2015 at the South Shore Cultural Center, the Chicago Police Department held it’s first Daddy Daughter Dance.

There’s nothing more important in a girl’s life to have a relationship with their father.  In keeping with reality, that may not always be the case in which a “father-figure” is always a welcome addition to any girl’s life.

Chicago Police Districts 5, 7 and 9 as well s the NOBLE Group (National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives were instrumental in putting together this classy affair.  All those who attended appeared to have a fantastic time and the young ladies who did not have their own fathers with them were still able enjoy and attend through the assistance the Chicago Police Department who escorted girls without fathers to the event.

While the Chicago Police and other departments across the country are catching a bad rap this proves that not all cops are on the wrong side of the law and are doing what’s necessary to build the severely broken relationship between the departments and the community.
