Young Boy Who Gave Detailed Description Of Going To Heaven After Car Crash Lied & Books Pulled From Shelves After Making The Best Sellers List

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- The 6-year-old boy who said he went to heaven and came back to earth has admitted that the story was false. The best-selling Christian book, “The Boy Who Came Back from Heaven” was released in 2010.

It was co-written by Alex Malarkey and his dad, Kevin, who is a Christian therapist.

In 2004, Alex and his father experienced a terrible car accident. The impact from the crash left Alex paralyzed.

After waking up, Alex gave detailed descriptions of meeting Jesus and the devil. But now said none the events took place.

However, Alex  has recently posted a statement on the website Pulpit and Pen that read: “I did not die. I did not go to Heaven.”

He said he told the story because he thought it would get him attention. He also said that those who market such books and materials “must be called to repent and hold the Bible as enough.”

The publisher has removed all remaining copies from bookstores.

Alex’s father has yet to comment.
