Funny how the tables turn!! People that have such hatred in their spirits deserve everything they get especially when they get caught up in their hypocritical wrong doing.  In Liverpool, New York which is a short drive from Syracuse sits a tiny diner with the appearance of being an “All-American” themed establishment.  Well maybe so but the fact is it’s owned  by a white man who seems to have a hate for everything you can think of including President Obama but  a love for everything “American”.  The diner’s customers who patronizes the business could not be more in agreement.  The atmosphere is perfect for a “conservative” minded person.  Welfare has been a topic that conservatives get bent out of shape about all the time. If they had their way welfare would be wiped out unless it’s a benefit to them.

The American Diner whose tag line is “Eggs and Knowledge” Something you can’t get at any other diner” is owned by Michael Tassone, a die-hard conservative.  The menu is full of options for the quintessential conservative to dine on like the “Dictator Obama” plate special complete with eggs and a severely inflated tax to boot.  How’s that for the most important meal of the day to get you going.

Tassone who admitted to defrauding government was convicted of welfare fraud was arrested back on Oct. 25, 2011. The case took nearly five years to resolve because prosecutors gave him time to pay restitution before deciding whether to present the case to a grand jury.  He “neglected” disclose his income on the form he completed to receive the government sponsored benefits.  He received benefits in excess of $23,000.  Subsequently he and his wife knowingly committed welfare fraud to receive Medicaid benefits from May 1, 2009 to April 30, 2011.  Both were sentenced to the same punishment, one year conditional discharge after pleading  guilty to submitting a false instrument for filing which is a misdemeanor and Michael Tassone paid restitution in the amount of $23,354.  The Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office dismissed a more serious felony welfare fraud case as part of the resolution of the criminal case.

The Tassone’s are quite lucky as they skated past being charged with felonies.  Maybe it was their “impressive” diner menu that gave them leverage!!  NOT!!
