Whatever Happened To Gay Students at Tennessee State University Who Wanted To Join Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Several male students (who like to be known as MIAKAs) at Tennessee State University are threatening to file a lawsuit claiming that they have been discriminated because the all female sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha, Incorporated will not allow them to become members.

The men are homosexual and have formed their own underground AKA sorority. They have all of the paraphernalia, signature calls and attire and are ready to finally have their probate show.

But Tennessee State University is not the only university that is dealing with this. News of MIAKAs first surfaced a several years ago when a group of men took it upon themselves and founded their own unofficial chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority at Texas Southern University and Prairie View A&M.

Greek community members were shocked when the Tri Alpha Chapter of MIAKA presented photos of men wearing pink and green and pearls, while throwing up their “pinkies.” Members were even more upset when they to learn the chapter had even filmed a probate show with sounds of the sorority’s famous call “skee wee” being heard in the background.
