Porsha Stewart held her own Monday on Wendy Williams when the talk-show host described her actions as “less than smart.”

 

“It seems like you’ve been coddled and spoiled by your mother and by Kordell Stewart and that never helps us as women when we get out into the world,” said Wendy. “From my perspective, as a fan, you are a gorgeous woman who has the world at your feet. You have no children, which is a plus in this particular situation…I think that you should live on your own.”

Porsha explained why she felt it was necessary to stay with her mother immediately after splitting from Kordell.

 

“While she is making breakfast, she is laying that wisdom on me very morning. She is trying to strengthen me before I go back out,” Porsha said. “Sometimes when somebody knocks you so far down, your family and your support system is who brings you back up.”

Kordell, who’s blamed Porsha’s wavering commitment to his family as the reason he filed for divorce, seemingly wanted a ‘50s-style family with his wife home every night to cook and serve dinner, and Porsha took responsibility for initially trying to meet his marital expectations.
