Two officers were responding to a report of domestic violence on Thanksgiving Day when they approached the suspect, Christopher McClinton, 22, who was sitting on the the passenger side of a vehicle.
McClinton reportedly refused to show identification after officers requested it repeatedly, then the suspect allegedly refused to get out of the vehicle, Officers said, ” We are going to arrest you for failure to identify yourself.
The two officers, who have not been named, pulled McClinton from the vehicle and he began to resist, they say. After the suspect refused to cooperate, according to the Dayton Daily News, that’s when one of the officers pulled out his taser.
During the altercation, one of the prongs of the taser hit the suspect, McClinton, and one hit the officer’s partner. The officer that was struck by the taser instantly fell backwards to the ground and suffered a head injury as a result.
