The NFL Network announced minutes ago that it was terminating the contract of Hall of Famer and analyst Warren Sapp, after news broke of his salacious arrest earlier this morning after the Super Bowl.
Sapp was arrested early this morning by Phoeniz police on two counts of assault and solicitation of prostitution. The NFL Network had previously pulled his bio off their webpage.
“Warren Sapp’s contract has been terminated and he no longer works for NFL Network,” a spokesman told BuzzFeed News.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, Sapp was arrested while police were investigating a noise complaint in the hotel he was staying in, and encountered an escort alleging that she and another woman had been assaulted by the former defensive tackle for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders.
