Daphne Barak, a documentary producer and Nick’s friend, said she spoke on the phone with Whitney Houston’s “adopted” son.

He told her the bruises were caused by CPR when he tried to save his girlfriend after she was found face down and unconscious in a bathtub at her Roswell, GA home on Jan. 31.

While that may explain any chest bruising, WSB-TV says that police also found suspicious injuries around her face and mouth.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ on Friday that Gordon was a target in their investigation of events leading up to the incident.

Meanwhile, Bobbi Kristina remains in a medically-induced coma at Emory University hospital in Atlanta.

There are conflicting reports about how the family plans to move forward, but a source tells “Extra” that the Houstons and Browns do not plan to remove life support on Feb. 11, the three-year anniversary of her mother’s death.
