A male was found shot and killed in an gangway early Sunday in the Roseland neighborhood.
The body was found about 7:40 a.m. in the 11100 block of South Lowe Avenue, police News Affairs Michael Sullivan said. The victim, whose age was not immediately known, had a gunshot wound to the chest and was dead when officers arrived on the scene, Sullivan said.
It was unclear when the person had been shot or how long his body had been there.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed a person had been killed at that location, but could not immediately provide further details Sunday morning.
There had been another shooting in Roseland Saturday night; it had occurred about a mile away, in the 100 block of West 109th Street. One teen was killed and another wounded in that incident, which occurred about 10 p.m.
