With just days to go before their wedding, Kandi Burruss’ fiancé Todd Tucker is confronting his future mother-in-law in a teaser for the “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”

Kandi and Todd are ready to jump the broom, but Bravo is still examining the drama behind their upcoming nuptials. In another attempt to foster some peace with Mama Joyce, he pulled her aside during rehearsals for Kandi’s play A Mother’s Love. Not so ironically, the play is inspired by Kandi’s real-life drama with her mother, as the main character struggles with a mom who openly disapproves or her best friend and her man.

While doing a walk-through of the theater, Todd nabs a moment with Mama Joyce to see if it possible for them to get back on good terms with one another. “I really want to talk to you Mama Joyce. I know we’ve had our ups and downs. I don’t know what it is from your side, but it’s just somewhere we kind of went wrong,” Todd said.

“You looked at me as an opportunist. ‘He’s not here for the right reasons. He’s dating her friend.’ It was just a lot of things that were said,” He added. “For me, I’d rather just speak directly to you, one-on-one just to get an understanding.”

As Kandi’s fiance, he wants to make sure that they’re going to be able to get along once he weds the “RHOA” entrepreneur. However, he’s prepared to move forward even in a cordial relationship with Mama Joyce.

“If it’s ‘Todd, I’m probably never going to like you,’ I can live with that,” Todd said, insisting again that he’s not interested in Kandi’s money or fame. “I’m here for her.”

Mama Joyce explained that she doesn’t him, stating, “I didn’t stop liking you. I stopped respecting you,”
