Tennessee County Jail Makes A Way For Inmates To Be Baptized

EarHustle411 came across this story and immediately became overwhelmed with a sense of humility because we recognize the presence of The Creator is everywhere.  In Bradley County, Tennessee the Sheriff’s Office did a noble thing for the inmates in their county jail.  For those who requested, the officials at the jail made their requests come to pass…to be baptized.   From what we could see, the jail officials honored the request of several inmates to be baptized.

The county jail officials put a small rubber pool in an available space and commenced to baptizing some 25 females and 65 males.  It also seems that back in 2014 it was 48 males who were baptized.  This group of inmates were baptized by Reverend Gloria Murphy and Reverend Harris.  Rev. Murphy for the females and Rev. Cy Harris for the males.  It is not known if the Reverends were employed by the county jail.

EarHustle411 and the writing staff does not “push” any particular religion or faith, however we find it to be a great thing when a person regardless of their situation makes the decision to change their lives and move forward on a spiritual path.

Just because a person has an irregular circumstance doesn’t mean their worship should be halted or diminished.  Now take a good look at the photos of the inmates waiting to be baptized.  They don’t appear to be restrained or shackled in any way, this is truly a wonderful sight.  Those who want to worship, do so unrestrained and unshackled and in their own way.

Blessings of peace, love and internal restoration to the men and women who have made the decision to go on a spiritual journey.
