“Tameka Raymond Keeps Kiles Memory Alive With Race to Support Foundation”

Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Raymond hopes to keep the memory of her late son Kile Glover alive and one way she’s doing that is by honoring him with a 5K Run.

The Give Thanks 5K run/walk will take place Saturday morning in Atlanta and is being held to raise funds for the Kile’s World Foundation’s art initiative and camps.

The 11-year-old Glover died in a boating accident in Atlanta’s Lake Lanier over a year ago after being run over by a personal watercraft and suffering from critical injuries.

“I know when I’ll be running, I will be thinking of him,” said Raymond. “I’m thinking about him every day, but he was my running buddy.”

You can read what else Tameka had to say about her “running buddy” over on ESSENCE.com. While we’re sure it continues to be unbelievably hard to press on without him, we’re glad to see Tameka is keeping Kile’s name and legacy alive.
