According to Essence, A new and unexpected person is joining team Xscape.

The girl group has hired Tamar Braxton’s estranged husband, Vincent Herbert as their manager. According to HipHollywood, LaTocha Scott, Tameka “Tiny” Harris and Tamika Scott hired Herbert as they prepare to work on new music sans Kandi Burruss.

Herbert’s work with Braxton and Lady Gaga is what inspired the ladies to sign on with him, “We sat down with him, had some food and just talked, like how most business takes place, he just got our vision and he saw the potential in us,” Tamika revealed.

“We love what he did with Tamar and Lady Gaga and we also knew he understood the business,” Tiny added, “We’re really excited.”

The ladies are currently on their Great Xscape Tour, which features Braxton, along with Monica, June’s Diary and Zonnique, as special guests.

Braxton and Herbert filed for divorce back in October. And, Braxton’s mother has called the pair’s marriage “volatile.”

We’re not sure how this will affect Braxton’s relationship with the ladies of Xscape, but hopefully the tour will run smoothly.
