Snoop Dogg Praises Akon While Calling Caitlyn Jenner A “Science” Project On Instagram

Snoop Dogg joined the ranks of public figures who’ve shared less-than-sensitive reactions to Caitlyn Jenner’s transition on social media, sharing a meme Wednesday (June 3) that compares the coverage of Jenner’s Vanity Fair cover with the coverage of Akon‘s charitable initiatives.

The image has a picture of Akon with the caption “Shout out to Akon! He is about to supply 60 million africans with solar power. Im really upset that this isn’t major news but that science project bruce jenner is #Society.” Snoop added: “News flash @Akon. Tune into ggn [his weekly online talk show] for some real news.”

The Cleveland Cavaliers’ J.R. Smith also shared the meme but has since deleted it. See Snoop’s post below:
