When Omarosa Manigault “resigned” from the White House, her departure sparked a media firestorm. For many people, the departure came as a surprise, but to others, it seemed as if it was just a matter of time before the Trump Administration showed their colors and reminded Omarosa of her own color. But despite the former Apprentice star’s highly publicized departure, it doesn’t look like she’ll be facing money issues any time soon because she’s reportedly working on other ways to secure the bag and it looks like the next deal may be even more lucrative than her former government job.
According to Inquistr, Omarosa is reportedly working toward a major book deal. Several reports have speculated that the former White House aide, who served as the director of communications for the White House Office of Public Liaison, may ink a lucrative book deal up to $10 million. Shortly after her departure from the White House, Omarosa appeared on Good Morning America with Michael Strahan where she discussed her desire to speak about her time working at the White House. ” She admitted she witnessed things she wasn’t exactly comfortable with. “There were a lot of things that I observed during the last year that I was very unhappy with, that I was very uncomfortable with,” Omarosa said during the interview.
I’m not going to expand on it because I still have to go back and work with these individuals, but when I have a chance to tell my story, Michael, quite a story to tell as the only African-American woman in this White House as a senior staff and assistant to the president, I have seen things that made me uncomfortable, that have upset me, that have affected me deeply and emotionally, that has affected my community and my people,” she said. “And when I can tell my story, it is a profound story that I know the world will want to hear.”
However, there are conflicting reports about the book deal as some news outlets claim Omarosa is pursuing more book deals than she’s being offered.
According to the Daily Caller, Omarosa has been “begging for a book deal” since she left the White House. Of course, Conservative news outlets see Omarosa’s Good Morning America as a verbal prologue to an explosive tell-all memoir. However, it is still unclear whether or not Omarosa has already secured a deal. But reports suggest one is definitely in the works. Although Omarosa isn’t exactly a fan-favorite among the African-American community, it might be interesting to hear what she has to say. But we all know how Donald Trump feels about “alternative facts” and “fake news” so there’s a chance Omarosa could be faced with a few obstacles while trying to release her book.
