Sandusky, OH-   A young couple traveling home along with their two week old infant were pulled over for a minor traffic stop which turned out to be a nightmare.  Andre Stockett and his girlfriend were signaled to pull over for a legal traffic stop, the cops asked the driver to provide license and insurance which is typical for a traffic stop.

Once the driver gave all her credentials, the cop ran her license and plate and everything came back valid.  Instead of issuing a warning or a ticket, Officer Denny decides he will harass the passenger who happens to be Andre Stockett a young black man who is well versed in knowing his constitutional rights.

Officer Denny then tells Stockett that he fits the description of a criminal they were looking for and then calls Stockett by the criminal’s name.  Stockett tells the officer he was not the guy they were looking for.

 

Officer Denny then orders him to provide Identification in which Stockett refused. Once he refused, the cop orders him out of the car.  Stockett refused again.  The cop then order them to open the car door so he can send in the drug sniffing dogs because now he is suspected of having drugs in the car.  Stockett tells the officer, I will not open my door because I fear for my life and we don’t have any drugs.  He then alerted the officer that he had his 2- week old child is in the back seat.

The state of  Illinois has a law Illinois v. Caballes Where the courts have ruled cops do not need reasonable suspicion to send in the drug sniffing dogs during a legal traffic stop.  Some cops of course knowing the laws, will used it to their advantage thus putting  dogs on the car and claimed they had a hit when in fact there were no drugs in the car.  They used the law as an excuse to force occupants out the car.  Although this situation happened in Ohio.

After the couple refused to get out the car, The officer then threatened to take their two week old baby and charge them with obstructing justice which infuriated the child’s mother.  The mother out of fear for her child opens the door and submits.  Please watch the video and see for yourselves how this cop conducted himself.  The cop continued to tell multiple lies even though he knew he was being videotaped.
