Two arrests have been made in connection with the murder of a former New York Knicks player who was found dead last year in Brooklyn.

The body of Michael Wright, 35, who had been drafted by the Knicks and played basketball on courts across Europe, was discovered under garbage bags in an SUV in Brooklyn on November 10, 2015.

The University of Arizona basketball player was found dead from a head wound on E. 16th Street in the Midwood area of Brooklyn.

Wright’s longtime roommate, Mark A. Holdbrooks, 59, and his accomplice, David (King Victor) Victor, 35, were arrested and charged with murder on Wednesday, Bergen County Acting Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced.

Holdbrooks reported Wright missing days before his body was found and said that he hand’t seen or heard from him in three days.

Police say Holdbrooks and Victor drugged Wright and then killed him inside of the home before driving to Brooklyn and abandoning his Lexus SUV.

A judge in Bergen County set their bond at $3million each. A motive for the murder has not been released by police.

Wright started playing basketball at the Farragut Career Academy in Chicago, where he played alongside NBA legend Kevin Garnett.

Wright played for the Arizona Wildcats between 1998 and 2000 and was pegged as a promising star.

He was then drafted by the Knicks in 2001, however never qualified to the roster.

Since then he had played around Europe, joining teams in Turkey, France and Poland.

In January 2015, he signed with Cholet Basket, a pro team in France, but reportedly left a month later.
