Since Beyoncé has shut out all contact from her father, Mathew Knowles, he’s doing what he has to do to make ends meet.
The former music mogul and manager to the superstar, was recently spotted by local news station KPRC Houston hosting a yard sale outside his office, where he says his staff decided to sell many of Beyonce and Solange’s items.
Among the catalog of items, including a large poster of his famous daughter for $200, House of Dereon clothing and dated tour books for $20, as well as Solange’s album for $1.96.
Though many may assume that Knowles is only having the sale to pay back child support for his two children he had outside of his marriage to Tina, he assures that, that is not the case.
“If I needed money, I wouldn’t sell $5 T-shirts,” Knowles said. “I’d sell a Grammy or an MTV award. So that is insulting to think we need to sell $5 T-shirts. No, I don’t think so.”
Though he says he isn’t sure what he wants to do with the money earned from the on going sale, he expects to make nearly $2,000 and is finally getting the office space cleared out.
