8th Annual Global Mixx Music and Film Forum Announces

Confirmed Panelists and Honorary Co-chairs

Chicago, IL (July 2014) – Global Mixx Music and Film Forum has begun announcing confirmed event panelists and co-chairs for their 8th annual event in Chicago Aug 15-17th, 2014. The Forum will include working entertainment professionals from the worlds of music, film, television and media. This year’s event is presented by Parent Power Chicago, an organization whose mission is to provide tools and resources for parents to regain or maintain their traditional position with the family structure.

ParentPowerChicago and Global Mixx Music Forum at Zhou B. Art Center-Workshop Series

ParentPowerChicago and Global Mixx Music Forum will host two floors of non-stop panels and workshops designed to address the specific interests of parents, students and aspiring music professions. The first floor will be dedicated to aspiring music professionals currently pursuing a career in music, marketing, production, radio, and public relations. The second floor will be dedicated to ParentPowerChicago registrants, 40+ resource vendors with key workshops and panel discussions to assist parents and students in understanding the business of music and talent management. Both floors will be open for all ages and attendees in networking and resource building.

Key panels that will take place throughout the day at the Music Forum will integrate both ParentPowerChicago registrants and music professionals:  “Social Media & Digital Engagement”, “In the Lab” Production Workshops, “Image, Branding & Marketing”, “Management, Touring and Money”, “The Radio and Mixshow Model”, “The Fall and Resurrection of House Music” along with speed mentoring sessions to include both teen and aspiring newcomers looking to network with the music, creative digital and marketing executives.

Parents and students participating on the ParentPowerChicago floor will be treated to a special panel discussion featuring recording artists and teen sensation, the OMG Girlz.
