Wilmington, NC aka Port City is gearing up and ready to bring in 2015 in a mighty “BIGG” way.  The weekend of January 9-11, 2015, TEAM HICKMAN is ready to set Port City ablaze and all to support the scholarship foundation in the name of one special educator Lillie Ann Heggins at the behest of her son Radio Personality Brandon “Bigg B” Hickman.

Port City Rip The Runway takes place during Brandon Bigg B Hickman’s Celebrity Birthday Weekend and what better way to honor his mother Lillie Ann Heggins than to celebrate not only his birth but to pay homage to the woman who made Bigg B what he is today.

Lillie Ann Heggins a North Carolina native and well-respected educator of the NC school system was about her business educating the children for 40 years before she made her transition to glory in May 2011.  Team Hickman spearheaded by Brandon and his wife Suprena are using the Port City Rip The Runway as a catalyst for the Lillie Ann Heggins Scholarship Foundation.

This fantastic scholarship move began in 2012 with the notion of  a scholarship to be awarded to a senior attending a college or university majoring in business and/or education. Student applicants should be residents of New Hanover, Pender, or Brunswick Counties.

This year Port City Rip The Runway will be entering in its 4th year and every year the show has been the most anticipated event of the new year.  The event features local models, DJs, stylists, designers, and clothing stores in a positive and fun environment where the sole purpose is to raise scholarship money to help offset the costs of college for some students.  This year’s foundation goal is to award 2 $1000 scholarships.  EarHustle411 and the writing staff is confident they will meet and exceed their targeted goal.

The participants will be strutting their stuff in some of the best  designer fashions as they light up the catwalk all in the name of education.
