The tragic death of a Prince George’s County police officer. The police chief says the shot that killed Officer Jacai Colson was deliberately fired at him by another officer because that officer thought Colson was an armed threat.

Colson was an undercover in plain clothes at the time of the shooting. The chief wants to make clear–he does not believe one officer intentionally shot another.

“I do not for a second believe that this was a police officer intentionally firing at another police officer,” said Chief Hank Stawinski, Prince George’s County Police Department.

Horrifying pictures show armed Michael Ford outside the Prince George’s County police station Sunday–a rampage police say Ford planned and enlisted his brothers, Malik and Elijah, to record, as he expected to die.
The 22-year-old is facing 25 charges, including attempted murder.
