Video obtained by the Russian channel RT shows a woman, all dressed in black, wearing a headscarf, pacing back and forth outside a metro station in Moscow, Russia, holding the head of a child. Sources state that Russian authority wrestled the woman to the ground and charged her with murder.

Investigators suspect that the woman is mentally unstable. A local reporter in the area reported she heard the woman shout things such as “Allahu Akbar” and “I am a terrorist.”

One witness in the area told reporters, “I thought she just went mad … when I saw the head I started shaking … I saw the child’s face and blood coming from it. It was very scary.”

Investigators also think the woman was a nanny for the child that she cared for in addition to setting the family’s apartment on fire.

An investigative committee looking into the investigation believes that the nanny waited until the parents left the apartment with their older child in order to kill the young child and set the apartment on fire. The victim was about 3 or 4 years old.

The committee also reported that the woman is going psychiatric treatment. Any motives are still unclear with a criminal investigation underway.

Russia’s president of the Commission of Child Rights tweeted, “When you hire a nanny for your child, make sure of her mental state, get help from a psychiatrist!”
