Our children are just not safe from pedophiles, perverts and creeps that lurk around and prey on children.  Unfortunately they don’t glow in the dark and have a bubble hanging over them during the day so people would know there’s a predator in the midst.  There’s a special place for  people like this.  The volleyball coach betrayed the trust of the young girls at an Oak Lawn High School by getting his jollys by recording the girls changing in the locker room.  This is an area where the girls are supposed to feel safe and they were not.   Losing his job is not enough let’s hope this creep gets what he deserves, goes to jail and can never be within 5 inches of any child ever again.

OAK LAWN, Ill. — An Oak Lawn high school volleyball coach is under arrest and accused of planting his cell phone in a girls locker room and filming at least one student changing.

Last Friday, the girl told school officials while she was in the locker room at Richards High School, she saw a cell phone and wondered if it was recording her.

After obtaining a search warrant, police say that phone belonged to 31-year-old Raymond Van Syckle of Joliet. Van Syckle is the girls’ varsity volleyball and also the pool and equipment manager here at the school.

Community High School District 218 officials say they have suspended Van Syckle without pay.  He is charged with felony unauthorized video recording. A judge set his bail at $75,000.

The school sent an email to parents informing them of the incident.  Police and school administrators are asking any students who might have any other information related to this investigation to contact them.
