A New Hampshire man who taught high school math was arrested Friday after allegedly having sex with a student in his classroom.
Christopher LeBlanc, 29, is on paid administrative leave at Stevens High School after allegations he had sex with a 14-year-old girl surfaced, WCVB reported.
According to court records, his relationship with the teen began in November of last year. LeBlanc is accused of sexually assaulting the girl in his classroom.
School officials placed the math teacher on leave after learning of the allegations last Wednesday, according to WMUR.
The alleged victim told authorities that LeBlanc often talked to the young teen about his marriage, said he loved the teen, and that she was his “rock.”
Last Friday, police said they recovered emails sent from LeBlanc to the victim.
“Just say we talked a lot but just as friends,” he allegedly wrote in an email. “Say what we have been saying before….Don’t mention sexual stuff.”
Along with being accused of having sex with the girl at the school, an arrest affidavit said they two also had sex in the teacher’s apartment, at a friend’s house, and in a vehicle.
If convicted, LeBlanc could face up to 21 years in prison, according to CBS Boston.
He is currently being held on a $250,000 bail. His next court date is April 1.
