A few days ago rapper/actor Nelly aka Cornell Haynes was arrested in Tennessee.
His tour bus was pulled over and state troopers found guns, marijuana and meth inside his tour bus, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
Nelly was taken into custody after the stop at around 9:20am with several other passengers on Interstate 40 in Putnam County. He could be facing felony charges.
Just days after the incident Nelly is feeling the need to speak out on the arrest and “take responsibility” for his actions. He posted the heartfelt message to his fans via his Instagram
Nelly’s lawyer Scott Rosenblum released a statement after the arrest as well:
“Nelly was one of several individuals that was on a tour bus that was stopped and searched while traveling through Tennessee. In fact, there had been 15-20 people that had access to the bus prior to the stop. Allegedly, a small quantity of contraband (MDMA aka Molly or Ecstasy) was discovered during the routine search. We are extremely confident that when the facts come out, Nelly will not be associated with the contraband that was allegedly discovered.”
