And A King Shall Reign!! Earhustle411 Has a Talk With TV Producer Carlos King

I have to say I LOVE WHAT I DO!! The weekend of August 15-17 was a very exciting time for myself and the Earhustle411 Team.  During the 2014 Global Mixx Event on Saturday August 16th, we covered the Film Showcase and it was AWESOME!!  The panel was packed with talent and major film & television knowledge.

Our media correspondent “Redd” had the pleasure of interviewing a young man who was vibrant and so full of life, I thought he was going to take our jobs away….LOL!!  If you don’t know who Carlos King is then I guess YOU MUST NOT WATCH TELEVISION!!

Carlos King is the producer behind some of television’s most popular reality shows like: Real Housewives of Atlanta: Season 6, Love & Hip Hop Atlanta: Seasons 1-2, Real Housewives, Oprah Behind The Scenes: Season 25 to name a few. He was so very humbled and grateful to be speaking with Earhustle411, he was able to give us some insight on how he worked his way up to where he is today.  Carlos said:

“Humble yourself and intern, one of the biggest things I did for my career is I didn’t mind working for free”

I totally agree with him and I can say that when starting out in any field success does not happen overnight.  Dues have to be paid and people have to see that you are in it for the long haul not just a quick buck.  I can recall a time when I used to get frustrated when things didn’t happen quickly.  I believe that what comes quickly will leave just as quickly.

A native of Detroit Carlos has surely made some big splashes in an industry where African-Americans are NOT on the same playing field as CaucasiansCarlos has done his grinding and is still grinding today just to stay competitive and sought after as a producer.  The small screen has been very good to him, prayerfully we can see his works on the big screen soon.

Check out the interview with Carlos King and our media correspondent “Redd“:

Talking with Carlos King was very informative as well as inspiring, he gave some awesome advice for people who want to aspire to be producers or whatever they choose to be; he said:

“Humble yourself, work for free [in the beginning], and if you have to leave your hometown, leave – step out on faith and really make your dreams come true!!”

Amen to that Carlos!!! Staying faithful and focused is so important because our young people are at a loss and they need stability, structure and guidance.

Carlos also has a project in the works where he is the Executive Producer titled Hollywood Divas (not to be confused with R&B Divas) scheduled to air on the TVOne Network on October 8, 2014 (check you local listings for channel assignments).  I am looking forward to seeing the show as it has some of my favorite celebrities in it such as Elise Neal (The Hughleys), Countess Vaughn (The Parkers), Golden Brooks (Girlfriends), Paula Jai Parker and Lisa Wu (Real Housewives of Atlanta)OMGEE!!!….I can hardly wait!! The show is sure to very interesting with non-stop excitement.

Carlos was very refreshing, thoughtful and a pleasure to interview, I can see why his production company is appropriately named Kingdom Reign Entertainment.  He’s made it abundantly clear that staying faithful is a huge part of his success.  He puts his faith in God and he has had doors opened for him as a result.  They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, says my soul, Therefore I have hope in Him.” Lamentations 3: 23-24.  I wish him nothing but the best of success as he continues to walk into his destiny.
