Remember how, during the Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 6 reunion, NeNe Leakes pledged to match Kenya Moore’s $20,000 donation to the charity of her picking? And then how, more than one month later, Kenya’s declared choice of the Detroit Public Schools Foundation had yet to receive anything from either Housewife? Well finally, six months later, it’s actually happening!

Sure, it will be taped for the Bravo show, but who cares what the intent is as long as the worthy recipients get their funds? According to the Detroit Free Press, Kenya plans to donate the full $20K during an appearance at her alma mater, Cass Technical High School, on October 17.

The former Miss USA confirmed this news on Twitter on October 10, writing, “I always keep my word. #detroit forever,” along with the link to the aforementioned article.

No word yet on whether NeNe is aware of Kenya’s actions, but we imagine that she will follow suit once Kenya’s donation is made. After all, NeNe is very rich, bitch, and reportedly even raked in more than $1.5 million for the upcoming seventh season. In other words, $20K is like chump change for this hot mama! Now for a little refresher on how that original deal went down. When Kenya surprised NeNe by dubbing her the guest of honor at her charity event last season, NeNe was so bothered by the ambush that she acted quite rude. To make up for her behavior, the Glee star was willing to put her money where her mouth is.”Let’s put our differences aside for a day of charity. You pick the charity of your choice. I will donate $20,000, and you match me. You donate 20 (thousand) along with me. How about that? $20K. You ready? Name the charity, and let’s go,” NeNe told Kenya at the reunion.

Hey, as long as it happens!
