Jamaican Reggae Artist Beenie Man Cancels Opening For Drake After Contracting The Zika Virus

Jamaican Reggae Artist Beenie Man was forced to cancel his headlining show  scheduled for the second night of Drake’s OVO Fest in Toronto Canada after contracting the Zika virus, which is a virus that can cause serious problems during pregnancy.

If you’re pregnant and infected with Zika, you can pass the virus to your baby. Zika infection during pregnancy causes a birth defect called microcephaly and other brain problems. It also may be linked to other serious problems for a baby.

His deejay has also contracted the virus. He was denied entry into Canada because of the virus.

Beenie Man apologized to fans and also posted a picture of himself on twitter getting shots and treatment for the virus.

See his full apology below.
