The 2nd Saturday is a day that everyone in the Chicago area looks forward to.  It’s the day where friends, family and so forth get together and line up on Dr. Martin Luther King Drive to see creative beauties pass by.  That’s right it’s Bud Biliken Parade time!!

The longest and the largest African-American Parade in history, every year the parade brings about sense of togetherness, wonderful memories from people who had been long time supporters of the parade.  Chicago residents as well as people from all over the country gather to see all of the creatively made floats, enjoy grilled food and cool drinks.

This year ABC 7 Chicago’s Cheryl Burton, Jim Rose & Jose Sanders will broadcast live from the parade route.  We can expect to see some fancy floats, adults, children and great organizations who are participating in the parade.  Every year the local and state politicians come out and walk the parade route, shaking hands and kissing babies.

WE love to see all of the talented children strutting their stuff and getting excited with all of the cheers and applause they receive.  It’s a great break from the constant negativity our children face on a day-to-day basis.

EarHustle411 is excited and proud of the Bud Biliken Parade’s tremendous 86 years of getting children ready to go back to school.
