IN OTHER NEWS: Bride Arrested For Alleged Unpaid Wedding Debts

A bride in question was arrested just weeks after an I-Team investigation.

Two business owners turned to the I-Team saying that a north suburban bride failed to pay them in full for a recent wedding. After our story, Gurnee police issued a warrant for her arrest. Now, the bride faces a criminal charge.

She’s the bride surrounded by wedding cakes and controversy. And now the I-Team has obtained a mugshot.

Lake County authorities say Patricia Miller Fields turned herself in after a warrant was recently issued for her arrest. She’s charged with “theft of services” – a misdemeanor.

“I can’t thank you enough because once the story aired, I sent them the news clip as well to let them know and say, ‘Hey, this is a pattern for this lady. I am not the first victim here,'” said Nikki Jackson, baker.

Jackson, a Dallas-based chef, filed a police report with Gurnee police – the site of Fields’ crimson and creme-themed wedding.

Jackson says she was so angry about 45 hundred dollars in bounced checks from fields… she posted a video online.
A Dallas makeup artist also told the I-Team she was owed money from Fields.

Last month, Fields and her “assistant” told the I-Team she didn’t want to talk on camera. She did file a lawsuit against the baker claiming the bill was paid in full, that Jackson overcharged her and that Jackson agreed to hold onto those checks until the dispute was resolved.

“Yes, I’m ecstatic. Even you know with the federal lawsuit she has filed against me I am ecstatic about that. I’m excited because I have the proof. I only have to tell the truth one time,” Jackson said.

In our previous report, Waukegan resident Lamar Sparks claimed Fields told him she was a lawyer, so she could get his personal information. In a police report, he claims she racked up debt in his name. And court records show ex-husband Kelvin Parks demanded an annulment after discovering Fields was not a lawyer. We confirmed she’s not a registered attorney in Illinois.

“I am just excited that finally she’ll be held accountable,” Jackson said.

And there are new allegations – administrators from the group known as “Perp-Alert” or “Perp Leaks” put a collage online. It says that Fields has been claiming to be a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, in social media posts. Delta Sigma Theta says she’s not a member.

We reached out to Fields and her attorney about the new allegations. We haven’t yet heard back. She’s out on bond and due in court for her first hearing in a few weeks.
