A group of thugs set upon a 50-year-old woman just moments after she left a church service in Queens — holding her at gunpoint and forcing her to perform oral sex on them — before leaving her naked in the middle of the street, cops said.
The victim had just left the Celestial Church of Christ in Jamaica on Tuesday night and been walking on 150th Street when two men pulled a pistol and confronted her at around 10:15 p.m., according to police.
With the gun pointed to her head, they took her money and belongings and then demanded that she remove her clothes, cops said.
With two of the individuals looking on, the group pummeled the victim and forced her to perform oral sex on three of them. They eventually all fled the scene, cops said.
After the incident, the woman ran back to the church — where she was found by her pastor.
“I saw her crying,” recalled Pastor Kehinde Oyetunde. “She said she was attacked and robbed and they wanted to rape her…She told them she was an HIV patient and she didn’t want to hurt them because they’re young boys.”
Police were eventually called and the woman was later treated at Elmhurst Hospital.
“I spoke to her today,” Oyetunde explained on Wednesday night. “She’s going to need a lot of counseling.”
The suspects were described as four black males, and one hispanic. They were still being sought as of 7 p.m. Wednesday.
“Nothing like this has ever happened before,” Oyetunde said. “It’s the devil’s work. But it will not overcome us.”
The attack has left local residents on edge.
“I’m scared,” said Laura, another churchgoer who refused to give her last name out of fear for her safety.
“There are so many churches on this street and you would never think something like that would happen here,” she explained. “This is a place of God.”
Oyetunde described the victim as a senior member of the church, who served as its treasurer.
“She comes all the way from Brooklyn and never misses a mass,” he said. “She’s very dedicated to God. This is not going to stop her from coming. She loves the church.”
