A Jewel-Osco employee was arrested this week after he robbed a co-worker at gunpoint and showed up for work the next day, prosecutors said.

Police picked up Larry Murdock, 20, on Tuesday after the co-worker pointed him out through a window at the Lakeview Jewel-Osco, 3630 N. Southport Ave., court records show.

Murdock, who stocks shelves, had asked the 19-year-old co-worker to hang out Monday night, Assistant State’s Attorney Erin Antonietti said in court Wednesday.

When the co-worker pulled up to a meeting spot in the 4200 block of West Taylor Street, Murdock and an accomplice hopped in his car and whipped out guns, Antonietti said.

The duo stole the victim’s wallet, $600 cash, a gold chain, watch and iPhone, court records show. They also swiped the Timberland boots and hat he’d been wearing.

Murdock later called the victim and said he could have his belongings back for $1,200, according to Antonietti.

Murdock, who lives in the 1700 block of North LeClaire Avenue, was charged with felony armed robbery. During a bond hearing Wednesday, he was still wearing his maroon Jewel-Osco polo shirt.

Cook County Judge Adam Bourgeois set bail for Murdock at $350,000.
