Georgia- Mother Turns Herself Into Police After Baby Found Behind College Park Dumpster

The mother of a baby boy found behind a dumpster by a homeless man has turned herself into police, according to the College Park Police Department.

Police tell FOX 5 Atlanta that 27-year-old Destiny Walker’s son was found alive behind a dumpster Thursday morning at the Valero Gas Station on Old National Highway. Walker showed up at the College Park Police Department Thursday evening and left the station about an hour after she arrived. No charges have been filed at this time. According to police, the father is still unidentified.

Police tell FOX 5 Atlanta that the child appeared to be in good condition and is now in Division of Family and Children Services custody.

Police say the baby is at least 2-years-old.

Police say the child was spotted on a surveillance camera walking with his father around 5:30 a.m. The little boy found about 30 minutes later.
