If you have seen a single episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, there is a good chance that you have seen one of the most hilarious skits to ever grace late night television, the Lip Sync Battle.

Well, it would seem as if the phenomenon has really caught on as the skit has been turned into a new television series from Spike TV named…you guessed it, Lip Sync Battle.

As you can imagine, Spike TV wants to kick off their new series with a bang, and what better way to do just that than to bring the most electrifying superstar to the stage.

That’s right ladies and gentlemen, former WWE Superstar turned action hero Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be making his way to the stage in the premiere episode of Lip Sync Battle.

As if that wasn’t reason enough to watch, Johnson will be doing battle with none other than the one who made the skit famous, Jimmy Fallon.

So…the next question on everyone’s mind is what exactly will Dwayne Johnson be lip syncing to when the battle kicks off? Well, it seems as if Johnson is looking to “Shake It Off” as he will be lip syncing the Taylor Swift hit on the show’s premiere episode.

Dwayne Johnson was nice enough to give fans a preview of what they can expect from the episode with a short video he posted to his Instagram account. We must say, we’re rather impressed with Johnson’s performance.

As you saw from the short clip, the new series is going to be hosted by rapper turned actor LL Cool J. Each week, two celebrities from all walks of entertainment will take the stage and battle it out in search of lip sync supremacy.

In the event that you’re not quite sold on the new series yet, which we can’t see how you wouldn’t be after watching The Rock “Shake It Off,” here’s a look at another segment from the show. This time, he is rapper Common and R&B Superstar John Legend battling it out.

We can’t tell you how much we’re digging Common’s Lionel Richie impersonation, and Legend’s impression of MC Hammer…you just have to see for yourself.

So…are you sold yet? Well…let the battle begin.

Lip Sync Battle premieres on Thursday, April 2nd 10:00 p.m. on Spike TV.
